BAA Is Now A Fire Safe Council

The Bel-Air Association was just named a Fire Safe Council through MySafeLA and we are continuing the process to become a FireWise Community, which will offer fire insurance discounts and more.

What is a FireWise Community?

The national Firewise USA recognition program provides a collaborative framework to help neighbors in a geographic area get organized, find direction, and take action to increase the ignition resistance of their homes and community and to reduce wildfire risks at the local level.

• The Firewise USA program is administered by NFPA® and is co-sponsored by the USDA Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters

• The Departments of Insurance in the states of California, Colorado, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, New Mexico and Utah have approved filings by USAA to give homeowners insurance discounts to USAA members living in communities recognized by the Firewise USA® program.
